Meet Dr. Andy Shimchuk

Dr. Andy Shimchuk is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized surgical care with a commitment to helping patients restore their oral health, confidence, and quality of life. He believes every patient deserves to feel heard, understand their treatment options, and receive the highest standard of care from their first consultation through a smooth recovery.

Dr. Shimchuk earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and received multiple academic honors. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, training at nationally recognized institutions including UI Health, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and Advocate Christ Medical Center.

His training encompasses the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, oral pathology, and office-based anesthesia. Dr. Shimchuk has developed a particular passion for full-arch dental implant reconstruction (All-on-X), helping patients with failing or missing teeth regain the confidence to smile, enjoy their favorite foods, and improve their overall quality of life through secure, natural-looking implant-supported teeth.

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Shimchuk has authored multiple peer-reviewed research publications in implant dentistry, orthognathic surgery, peri-implant disease, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine. His commitment to lifelong learning allows him to bring the latest evidence-based techniques and technology into every treatment he provides.

Dr. Shimchuk understands that many patients feel anxious about oral surgery. He takes the time to listen carefully, answer questions thoroughly, and educate each patient about their treatment options so they can move forward with confidence. His goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where patients feel respected, informed, and genuinely cared for.

Outside the office, Dr. Shimchuk enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest through backpacking, tending to his diverse collection of plants and gardens, and spending time with his family. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Olympic Peninsula community and is committed to building lasting relationships with patients through honesty, compassion, and exceptional surgical care.
